What Is a "Transaction"?
A transaction in Addo is the entire shipment - with or without signature - created every time you send something. Each transaction can include multiple documents, attachments and recipients.
Note: Status messages are shown for each recipient, and they may differ between recipients in the same transaction, depending on the actions taken by them.
Transaction Status Messages
Started
Displayed once the transaction has been sent and delivered to the recipient. Documents may have been viewed, but not signed yet.
Data collecting
Displayed when:
A CPR validation request has been sent
An Addo Form has been sent to be completed
CPR validations change to Completed once done. Addo Forms follow regular status flows: Signed, Completed, etc.
Pending
Seen only when multiple signers must sign in a specific order. If a recipient is 'pending', this means that the recipient is waiting for another recipient to complete their steps before being invited to sign the document(s).
Signed
Indicates that at least one signer has completed the signing.
Used only in multi-signer transactions. If all have signed, the status becomes 'Completed'.
Completed
Displayed once all documents and/or attachments in a transaction have been:
Signed/approved by all recipients
Any questions have been answered
All documents have been successfully distributed
Note: You can download documents up to 10 days after a transaction's expiration date. After that, they're deleted permanently, and cannot be restored.
Distributing
Appears briefly before a transaction is fully completed. It means Addo Sign is currently distributing copies of the signed documents via the selected channels.
Note: If stuck in this status, contact support with the Transaction or Signing ID.
Expired
The transaction has expired and is no longer active.
Sender is notified by email
You can reactivate it for up to 10 days after the expiration - after this, reactivation is no longer possible.
After that, documents are deleted and personal data may be censored (depending on GDPR compliance settings in Settings > Account overview)
Cancelled
Only the sender, or an account administrator, can cancel a transaction.
When a transaction is cancelled for one signer, the entire transaction is stopped for all recipients.
Note: Cancelled transactions cannot be reactivated, but can be copied instead. Read more here.
Rejected
Occurs when a signer actively chooses to reject the transaction. This stops the entire transaction for all parties.
Recipients must provide a reason for rejection, which will be provided to the sender
All recipients will see the status as "Rejected"
Rejected transactions cannot be reactivated. A new one must be created, or the rejected transaction can be copied and resent.
Failed
This means that the document(s) never reached the recipient, and the transaction has been aborted.
Typical causes:
Invalid email address
Server issues (mail, e-Boks, Digital Post)
Contact support with the Transaction or Signing ID if you're unsure why the transaction failed.
