This article describes how to cancel a transaction, what happens when you do, and how to copy a transaction in order to resending it with updated information.

How to cancel a transaction

1. Identify the transaction

First, you need to identify the transaction in question.

  • Click on the Overview tab

  • Select the transaction that you want to cancel

2. Abort signing

You will now see a window showing your transaction.

  1. Click the three dots in the top right corner

  2. Click Abort signing

  • Click Yes in the pop-up window to cancel the transaction.

If you chose to select Anonymize transaction when cancelling a transaction, all personal data for all receivers (such as name, e-mail address and phone number) will instantly be censored, by being replaced with asterisks (*).

โš ๏ธ When you cancel a transaction, it will be cancelled for all signers, including people who already have signed. Signers will not be notified that the transaction has been cancelled, and the transaction will still appear in your overview.


Copy a Transaction

After cancelling a transaction, you will have the option to copy it. For example, if you cancelled a transaction because you accidentally attached an incorrect document to it, it may be beneficial for you to copy the transaction to avoid having to re-enter all the information.

Additionally, when copying a transaction, you can adjust the participants to include only the necessary signers, ensuring accuracy for the new transaction.

In order to copy a cancelled transaction, you can;

  1. Locate a transaction with the Cancelled status.

  2. Click Copy signing to copy all recipients, signature and identification settings, and documents uploaded from the transaction.

  3. Click OK in the pop-up to continue.

After following these steps, you will be redirected to the Send > New signing page, where the transaction will be ready to go with the copied transaction's settings.
