Note: Once a transaction has been sent for signature, you can still make certain edits - as long as the transaction is active and the recipient has not yet signed.
What Can Be Edited?
You can adjust the following:
Signing details:
Expiration date
Reference number
Signing note
Recipient details:
Name
Email
Phone number
Signature method
Identification method
Note: You can only change information that was included when the transaction was first sent.
For example, you cannot add a social security number or phone number afterward if it wasn’t originally included.
How to Edit a Transaction
Go to "Overview"
Find and select the transaction
If multiple recipients are involved, click into the transaction first, then select the individual signer.
A pop-up window will appear with signing and recipient details.
Click on "Edit":
Edit Signing Details (Expiration Date & Reference Number)
In the pop-up window, locate the signing details section.
Click into the fields to update the expiration date, write a signing note or reference number.
Click Save to apply the changes:
These updates take effect immediately, and the original signing link remains valid.
Editing Signature and Identification Methods
If your transaction uses a linked method (e.g. MitID), signature and identification methods may be locked together. To edit them:
Change the method that is not locked (e.g. signature method).
The linked method (e.g. identification) will automatically reset to "None".
You can now select a new method from the dropdown menus:
Once updated, the signer can still use the original link – changes are applied automatically.
Editing Recipient Details (Name, Email, Phone, etc.)
Click the edit icon next to the recipient’s name or email.
Update the information as needed.
Click “Save”.
You’ll see a green confirmation when the changes are saved.
If you’ve updated the email or phone number, it’s recommended to resend the notification:
Click “Send new notification to signer”
Click "ok"
Note: If the message fields appear greyed out and cannot be edited, it's because the message was pre-set in the template you used for the transaction.
To make changes, you’ll need to update the message in the template itself before sending the transaction. Messages cannot be edited after a transaction has been sent.
