How Does the Signing Process Work?

When you are asked to sign a document with Addo Sign, the process is quick and secure. Here’s what you can expect.

Updated over 2 months ago

You’ll receive an invitation

You’ll get an email or SMS with a secure link to the document.

Open and review the document

Click the link or press Continue to access the signing portal, where you can read through the document carefully before signing.

Verify your identity (if required)

In some cases, you’ll be asked to confirm your identity (for example, with an SMS code, eID, or another secure method).

Sign electronically

Once verified, you can sign the document directly in Addo Sign. The method may vary depending on the level of security chosen by the sender.

Get confirmation

After you’ve signed, you’ll see a confirmation message that your signature has been registered.

Signer’s Receipt

After everyone has signed, Addo Sign provides documentation to confirm the completion of the process. You may receive one or more of the following:

  • A receipt confirming that all signing parties have completed the process

  • A signed copy of the completed document

  • A signing certificate, if required

This documentation serves as proof that the document has been signed and can be used for compliance or record-keeping purposes.

⚠️ Important:

Having trouble signing? Contact the sender first — they can resolve most issues.

Addo Sign can help with technical problems but cannot change the document or invitation details.
