This article describes how to choose a specific method for identifying the signatory using authentication.

Updated this week

What is authentication?

Authentication methods are options in Addo Sign that secure your documents and control who has access to them. Even if a document link falls into the wrong hands, an active authentication method prevents unauthorized access.

You can choose the method that best fits your security needs and workflows, ensuring both you and your customers get an optimal solution.

Authentication Methods for Distribution

When creating a new signing, it's important to consider which signatories should participate and how they should be authenticated. When you click on 'Add one or more signatories', a window will open where you can make your selections.

Note: Your choice under the menu item 'Authentication' will to some extent be connected to your choice of signing method. For example, when using MitID.
