What does the red beam at the top of Addo mean?

The red beam is an automated message to all users on the account, as there is an invoice that has gone overdue.

What does the red bar at the top of the screen mean?

The red bar at the top of the screen in Addo Sign is a friendly reminder that one of your invoices is overdue.

An invoice being overdue means that if an invoice was issued on 01.01.2024 with a payment deadline of 20 days, it should have been paid by 21.01.2024. Any date after this will be considered as the invoice being overdue.

Please note: an invoice is considered paid when we have received the payment, not just when it is sent. Therefore, a payment might be sent on 21.01.2024, but Addo Sign will display a red bar on 22.01.2024 if the payment has not been received yet.

Why am I receiving a message that my invoice is overdue?

When we have not yet received the payment for the invoice, we will inform you that the payment is still pending.

It is possible that you have paid the invoice but still see a red banner at the top of Addo Sign.

This may happen because the receipt of the payment and the due date have overlapped—for instance, if you sent the payment on the last day of the payment deadline, but we did not receive and register the payment until the following day.

Therefore, if you have already made the payment for the invoice, you can simply disregard the banner at the top of the screen.

I have already paid the due invoice.

If you have paid the due invoice but still see the red banner at the top, it could be due to the following reasons:

  • Payment and due date overlap:
    • If you sent the bank transfer on the last day of the payment deadline, the payment may not be registered on the same day it was sent. Our bank and service receive and register the payment the following day.
  • Check payment details and reference:
    • If the payment was made via bank transfer, please check if the reference number includes our 4-digit invoice number.

Why is the bar appearing on a subaccount?

If you are on a subaccount and the payment reminder bar is at the top of the screen, it is because the payment from the main account has not been received on time.

The reasons can be several and are often due to the above-mentioned reasons.

If you are not responsible for the payment, I recommend that you contact your account administrator regarding this.

What should I do?

There are different actions you can take, depending on whether you are a standard user, an administrator, or someone else:

  • Administrator/Responsible:
    • Please check that the payment has been processed correctly, ensuring that the reference number, bank account, sort code, or other details match exactly as described on our invoice.
    • If the transfer was made on the last payment date, please have patience – we register the amount when it reaches us (1-2 business days after the transfer is initiated).
  • Standard User or User on a Subaccount:
    • Please inquire with your administrator or the responsible person for further guidance.
