What is identification?
Identification is used to protect your documents from unauthorized access. When using identification in a transaction, the signer must first identify themselves using the selected method before they are allowed to view or sign the document.
Fees for repeated identification
Repeated identification of the recipient can have consequences for the sender of the document as a fee is charged for each identification. If the recipient opens the link to the document multiple times and identifies themselves each time, the fees can add up and affect the expected credit usage for the transaction.
How should I proceed as the sender?
In the Overview, you can view the credit usage for a single transaction. After the transaction is completed, its status will be marked as "Completed". Here, you may notice that your credit usage exceeds the expected usage based on pricing. This is due to fees charged for each identification of the recipient. We recommend being aware of the costs of repeated identification and choosing a suitable identification method for your documents.
The event log allows you to see the actions your recipient has taken from the beginning to the end of the transaction. This may include information such as when the documents were opened, signed, or distributed. With the event log, you can easily keep track of the recipient's activities and ensure that the transaction proceeds as planned.
